Rachel Clarke will be discussing the importance of reading comprehension, inference, and representation in the primary years.
Rachel is an experienced educational trainer and author with over 10 published titles including the popular Reading Detectives series. Rachel is now the director of the Primary English Education Consultancy; an organisation dedicated to raising standards in literacy.
During her 25 years in primary education, Rachel has held the positions of SENCO, English Subject Leader and Deputy Headteacher. Before establishing Primary English, Rachel worked as an English Consultant for Coventry Local Authority. She holds the TTA SENCO standards, has completed Ofsted Inspection Skills training from TRIBAL and has been a member of the UKLA National Council as a representative for the West Midlands region.
