Steven Bollar, Educational thought-leader and webinar host
Steve Bollar, a.k.a. Stand Tall Steve, is an educational thought leader, former Superintendent of Schools, principal, author and a school culture and motivation expert. He is known for his quick wit, creative thought, and humorous personality.
Steve is the author of the leadership book Stand Tall Leadership, school culture book Ideas, Ideas, Ideas! and is a contributing author in the book Because of a Teacher and School Climate 2.0: Preventing Cyberbullying One Classroom at a Time. Steve openly shares his knowledge, experiences and creativity with others. He currently speaks to students, staff and communities throughout the world about how to think differently about schools, education, and life.
Professor Stephen Heppell
Stephen Heppell, CEO Heppell.net and Professor The Felipe Segovia Chair of Learning Innovation at Universidad Camilo José Cela, Madrid since 2011. Stephen’s “eyes on the horizon, feet on the ground” approach, coupled with a vast portfolio of effective large-scale projects over three decades, have established him internationally as a widely and fondly recognized leader in the fields of learning, new media and technology.
A school teacher for more than a decade, and a professor since 1989, Stephen has worked, and is working, with learner-led projects, with governments around the world, with international agencies, Fortune 500 companies, with schools and communities, with his PhD students and with many influential trusts and organizations.
Dr. Tim Holmes, Neuroscientist and award-winning Educator
Tim is an award-winning educator and has developed and implemented neuroscience programmes for a range of academic and commercial customers. Tim is a regular speaker on the conference circuit and has contributed to a number of TV and radio shows including Channel 4’s The Secret Life of Buildings, C4’s Embarrassing Bodies, BBC1’s Secrets of the Sales and Radio 4 Design Dimension. He was scientific advisor for the 2015 Toyota Tacoma “Sal a Jugar: Fun Games” advertising campaign and was awarded Paper of the Year at the Marketing Week Insight Show 2017 in London for his presentation on design confusion which results in erroneous decision-making.
Catriona Woodward, Lead Educator from the REAL School, Budapest
Catriona is currently Co-Designer and Lead Educator at the REAL School, Budapest. The REAL School Budapest is an independent, not-for-profit international learning environment that educates for sustainability, primarily through real-life, entrepreneurial learning. Their mission is to raise a new generation who can dream and build a more beautiful, equitable and sustainable world for themselves and for all living beings.
James Clarke, Design Director at Spaceoasis
James Clarke is the Design Director at Spaceoasis, responsible for their value-engineered capsule collection, Learniture. With over thirty years’ experience in the furniture industry, James has extensive knowledge of, and experience in the furnishing of learning spaces. From early BSF projects through to some of the UK’s leading independent schools as well as international projects from America to the Far East, James’ work draws on the latest research in how great learning happens. He is currently leading the project to relocate the International School of Monaco into their new building in 2024.
