About our panellists:   

Professor David Daley, Professor of Psychological Intervention and Behaviour Change

A developmental psychologist by training, David Daley is a Professor of Psychological Intervention and Behaviour Change at the University of Nottingham. His primary area of research lies in the psychological development of preschool children. In particular, David’s research is focused on how to enhance school readiness in those with neurodiversity. Furthermore, it explores non-shared environmental influences on child development, recognised internationally.

Andrew Whitehouse, Consultant and Speaker specialising in neurological diversity

TEDx Speaker and Bamford Lecturer, Andrew Whitehouse, is a specialist in neurological diversity. He provides interventions for professionals, parents, and young people with Autism, ADHD, PDA, Dyslexia and related conditions. Andrew has several roles including training, strategies and therapies for education professionals in a variety of settings. This work includes observing learners in the learning environment and providing practical solutions to help them achieve their potential. Andrew has an extensive conference profile and has more recently published his acclaimed first book, available on Amazon.

Annamarie Hassall, MBE, Chief Executive at Nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs)

Annamarie Hassall is Chief Executive of Nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs). Nasen is the UK’s leading charity for championing those working with and for, children with SEND and learning differences. Prior to joining Nasen, Annamarie worked at the National Children’s Bureau, influencing system change and bringing the voices of children, young people and parents to influence quality children’s services. With a career in public services, Annamarie has held local, national, and government advisory roles that span the breadth of children’s social care, early years, and SEND. A qualified and registered social worker, Annamarie was awarded an MBE for her work with children and families.

Beccie Hawes, Head of Service at Cadmus Inclusive and webinar host

Beccie has worked in all aspects of Special Educational Needs including mainstream, additionally resourced provision, and specialist settings. She has extensive experience as a SENCo, Inclusion Manager, Lead Local Authority SEND Advisory Teacher. Beccie has also set up and led two inclusion advisory services. Her current role is Head of Service with Cadmus Inclusive, part of Cadmus Services and the Cadmus family of schools, based in the West Midlands. This service has a national reach and actively supports schools and educational settings with all aspects of providing a high-quality education for vulnerable learn
