Professor David Daley explores the topic of neurodivergence, and behaviour change in our TTS Talking webinar.
Professor David Daley is a developmental psychologist and expert in ADHD and autism. As of July 2022 he is also Head of Applied Psychological Practice at Nottingham Trent University, UK.
He first received his B.A. in Applied Psychology with Sociology from the National University of Ireland, University College Cork. Then an M. Phil in Child Development and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychopathology from the University of Southampton, UK. He is also Neurodevelopmental theme lead for MindTech. This is a national centre focusing on the development, adoption and evaluation of new technologies for mental healthcare and dementia.
Professor Daley’s research interests are focused on investigating and modifying non-shared environmental processes for families of children who display neurodiversity. He has devoted much of his career to making the process of parenting children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders more consistent. David is also internationally recognised as an expert in environmental modification for ADHD. He has authored over 160 academic papers and written two books on topics relevant to our webinar.
He is currently working to develop a digital sleep intervention to help children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Also he is working in collaboration with colleagues from the Institute of Mental Health’s Centre for ADHD, Neurodevelopmental Disorders Across the Lifespan (CANDAL), and NIHR MindTech.
