Hugo Shephard: The impact of the pandemic on child wellbeing

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hugo Shephard will be sharing practical ways to support the social and emotional wellbeing of primary learners post-pandemic.

Hugo is the Founder and Managing Director of Role Models; an education provider that aims to give children the toolkit to build their confidence, manage their emotions and develop friendships. They do this through fun, online and in-person learning for 3-13 year olds delivered by friendly, experienced mentors.

With a degree in Psychology and a background in consultancy, Hugo is at the helm of the Role Models’ growth and success.

A Durham University graduate, Hugo started his career as a management consultant at EY. In 2014, Hugo decided to take his learnings from consultancy and follow his passion for Character Education. Inspired by his Psychology degree Hugo founded Role Models, an organisation whose mission is to inspire a generation of young people around the world to be the best version of themselves.

As an expert contributor to our Little Lockdowners: How can we close the critical skills gaps in primary learners post-pandemic? campaign, Hugo will be shedding a light on some of the patterns and challenges emerging as a result of the pandemic. Hugo will share insights and solutions to help educators and caregivers support children’s social and emotional wellbeing.
